Ron Terrell retired as a commander from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He began his career as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer and finished as a Foreign Area Officer, mastering Arabic and immersing himself in the history, culture, and politics of the Middle East.
Ron lived in Bahrain for three years during the height of the Arab Spring. Assigned to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, he led maritime engagement with Yemeni naval forces, frequently traveling to Yemen during the momentous rise of the Houthis. His experiences, complex and perilous, inspired his debut novel, The Last Cocktail in Yemen, a story that captures the passion and danger of life amid the Houthi takeover.
After nearly 30 years of living around the world, Ron finally settled in Puerto Rico. When he's not writing he can be found in the water or exploring the restaurants and bars of San Juan.
