The Promise: In the year 2825 A.D., young Commander Jonathan Smythe and his crew of astronauts and androids travel outside the Solar System to a newly found earth-like planet, Terrane, in the Tri-Star Alpha Centauri. The pristine baby blue planet is inhabited by cave dwelling humanoids. The commander and his caring and loving crew, introduce the use of fire, teach them farming, animal domestication, building homes and speaking, reading and writing. Before leaving to return to earth, the commander promises to return in the near future. In 2850 A.D. the commander's son returns to Terrane to continue his father's work; but meets resistance from the brutal mountain people.
