The Lordship of the Holy Spirit is the reign of the Spirit of God in the heart of the Christian. His presence in us is what makes us Christians (Romans 8:9). Without Him, there's nothing we can ever do which will be acceptable to God the Father. Everything we do, therefore, must be directed and ordered by Him and must be done in His power and anointing.

Jesus Christ, though Himself God, submitted completely to the Lordship of the Holy Spirit when He was here on earth. The Christian must also submit completely to the Lordship of the Holy Spirit so that He can carry out His ministry sufficiently in him and through him. For this submission to be fruitful, he must become acquainted with the Holy Spirit who is within him and learn how to be completely yielded to His Lordship.
