Dr. Mustafa Khattab
Dr. Mustafa Khattab is a distinguished authority in Quranic interpretation and is celebrated for his significant contributions to Islamic scholarship. He holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Islamic Studies in English with honors from Al-Azhar University's Faculty of Languages & Translation. Dr. Khattab has lectured at Clemson University (OLLI Program, 2009-2010) and has served as a Lecturer at Al-Azhar University for over a decade, beginning in 2003. His roles as Muslim Chaplain at Brock University (2014-2016) and the University of Toronto in Mississauga (2019-2021) further underscore his commitment to community engagement.
A member of the Canadian Council of Imams and a Fulbright Interfaith Scholar, Dr. Khattab has been an Imam in the U.S.A. and Canada since 2007.
Having memorized the entire Quran in Arabic at a young age, Dr. Khattab was also part of the pioneering team that translated the Ramadan night prayers (Tarawih) live from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah from 2002 to 2005. His unwavering dedication to promoting a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings continues to make a lasting impact on diverse audiences worldwide.
