Prior to being called to the ministry, Rev. William F. Heagen spent 39 years unsuccessfully searching for happiness and fulfillment. Then the Lord stepped in and offered him a new life of purpose and direction in His Service.

Following his spiritual awakening in 2004, Father Bill took an early retirement from a career as an accountant to seek a more fulfilling life in service to the Lord. He was ordained as "Independent Christian Clergy" in October 2010, at the age of 55 years and was later elevated to Bishop.

Fr. Bill tries to carry God's message to the people "On Their Turf by walking the streets of Ocean County, meeting with people during their everyday lives. He has spent 21 years working with addicts and alcoholics, and thousands of passengers on cruise ships. He is not afraid to get his feet wet and hands dirty in his efforts to extend mercy and compassion to suffering souls
