Donald Forgione has spent over forty years protecting parks, wildlife, and the great outdoors. From park ranger to director of the Florida Park Service, he's led thousands of rangers and worn many hats?law enforcement officer, wildland firefighter, environmental land manager, interpreter, and even ?the maintenance guy.?
He and his wife, Rosie, raised three adventurous children?Rosalie, Bryan, and Vernon?while living in parks across Florida, from beaches and rivers to forests and even an island only accessible by ferry boat. Today, Donald lives deep in the woods, surrounded by nature and all his animal friends.
Donald continues to inspire park rangers and outdoor professionals across the country through his company, Tailgate Talks, and as the host of the Tailgate Talks podcast. He is also coauthor of The Ecotourism Provider's Handbook.
A lifelong nature lover, Donald hopes to inspire the next generation of park rangers and adventurers?just like you!
