The book focus on the level of adoption of SRI Technology being promoted by Triming Project (Transforming Irrigation Management In Nigeria) in the Bakolori irrigation Scheme BIS Zamfara State of Nigeria. The constraints for adoption of SRI can be addressed through improvised technologies and proactive policies. This will pave way for wider adoption of SRI system for farming communities in the three clusters of the BIS. The study recommend that in order to improve on the efficiency of innovation take up among the target farmers extension agents should be involved in the dissemination of this technology. Efforts should be geared to revive youth interest towards rice production since they possessed higher adoption potential and requisite strength for farm labour supply. Rice production with the application of fertilizers under SRI practices proved to be more profitable than under farmers practice. Based on the findings of the study farmers were encouraged to adopt SRI practices studied in rice production and even extend the same to other crops. Triming project should consider up scaling these practices to other river basins where it is currently operating.
