Karen Barnard is a British Based Author. With an interest in contemporary history and an academic background in social and political science, the author has written a factual fictional account of life in post-war Britain. Her trilogy entitled, 'It Takes All Sorts' is a work of historical fiction that covers the turbulent decade of the post-war era, the 1940s and 1950s. The trilogy comprises, Volume 1, 'The Gossips', Volume II, 'The Youngsters', and Volume III, 'The Outsiders.' These Titles are also available in Paperback, and the complete Trilogy is available in a Hardback Omnibus edition. The author has also written romance fiction, a romance trilogy entitled 'Bride-to-be', set in Britain in the 1950s. The first book in the trilogy is entitled, 'Wedding Bells for Patricia'. It follows the romantic aspirations of Patricia who has just left secretarial college to start her working life. The second book in the trilogy is entitled, 'Bridal Bouquet for Janet'. It follows the romantic fortunes of a trainee nurse. The third and final book in the trilogy is entitled, 'Marriage Proposal for Susan'. It follows the romantic destiny of Susan, a primary schoolteacher, who unlike her friends, is resistant to romance and immune to love. These Titles are also available in Paperback.
