A team of deep-sea miners finds a unique, bioluminescent organism thriving near a thermal vent miles below the surface. This organism secretes a substance with incredible restorative and addictive properties. The miners begin illegally harvesting it, but the longer they stay and the more they take, the more the crushing pressure and the absolute darkness begin to affect their minds, whispering that the ocean is awake, and its "light" is a terrible lure.
