Ann Druyan, is New York Times bestselling author, an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning documentary producer director, and screenwriter. Among her many credits, she co-wrote the PBS documentary series Cosmos, and is also the creator, producer, and writer of the 2014 sequel, hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, and its 2020 sequel, Cosmos: Possible Worlds, of which she also directed several episodes. Ann was also a founding director of the Children's Health Fund and longtime board member of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. Among her many other accomplishments: she was also a writer and co-producer of the feature film Contact, based on the Carl Sagan novel.
