Zusammenfassung

Son of power explores the search for purpose through a profound connection with nature and the mysteries of distant lands. The novel reflects on the desire to leave behind a troubled past and seek renewal in unfamiliar surroundings. It highlights the tension between the instincts shaped by urban hardship and the freedom found in the wild. The narrative contrasts the confusion of city life with the clarity offered by untamed landscapes, revealing how the natural world can challenge, heal, and transform. As the story unfolds, it examines how exposure to new cultures and traditions can awaken deeper insight into identity and destiny. The pull of ancient myths and the allure of power drive the central figure s journey, where the struggle between personal ambition and the need for belonging shapes each choice. The work invites reflection on resilience, the complexities of emotion, and the enduring hope of bridging the divide between human longing and the primal forces of life.

Will Levington Comfort was born on 17 February 1878 near Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Silas Hopkins Comfort and Jane Levington. Comfort became known for his adventure novels including Apache and Somewhere south of Sonora, with several works adapted into films. His interest in spiritual matters led to the publication of two periodicals and the influential Will Levington Comfort Letters, which explored theosophical ideas. He spent his later years in California and died in Los Angeles on 2 November 1932. Zamin Ki Dost, the pen name of Willimina Leonora Armstrong, was born on 14 August 1866 in Nebraska. She became known as a physician, writer, and lecturer whose work reflected a deep engagement with the culture and traditions of India. Educated in Philadelphia, she traveled to India in 1887 as a medical missionary, where she worked alongside her sister. Her time in India greatly influenced her writing, inspiring her to publish Incense of sandalwood in 1904, a book that drew from her experiences there. She is remembered for co-authoring Son of power with Will Levington Comfort, a collection of stories depicting life in India.
