J.D.B. Miller was an Australian academic who taught at the Department of International Relations at the Australian National University, from his appointment in 1962 until his retirement in 1987. Following his retirement, Miller served as Executive Director of the Academy of Social Sciences, 1989-1991, helping to lift the national profile of the social sciences and providing a model of the finest academic leadership.
