Land of Silence is the story of a family forced to flee Gaza in search of peace. A father, a mother, their teenage son, and young daughter leave everything behind and begin a long journey across borders and sea. Along the way they face fear, hunger, and loss, but they keep going, holding on to the hope of a better life.
Their journey ends in Sweden, far in the north of Europe. They dreamt of safety and opportunity, but what they find is different. Europe is no longer the land of opportunity they imagined. Instead, they face racism, the shock of a new culture, loneliness, and the silence of a long cold winter.
