Nash Investigations was hired by the family of the missing birthday girl. At eighteen, she'd gone out to party and never come home. Her friends each told a very different story to the police. The police told the family there was nothing they could do. Their land wasn't covered by this jurisdiction. By any jurisdiction. They'd wiped their hands of the case.

But when she stepped into the building, it seemed the entire town looked back at Jesse. Everyone who had given a dollar, or ten, was waiting to hear from her. She'd had the uneasy feeling this wasn't some typical missing persons case.
