Thirty years ago, George learned about the Society of Southwestern Authors' short story contest. He wrote a story in one day and submitted it. "Around the Bend" won honorable mention in a special category. It was published in The Story Teller. Later, he decided to apply for membership and was accepted. He continued to pen short fiction. Those stories were also published in the society's annual anthologies. He submitted another story to Blue Murder Magazine, an online publication specializing in hardboiled fiction. David Firth published his story entitled "Foffadeal." Later that year, Blue Murder submitted the story for an award. George didn't win. He decided to set the limitations of short story writing aside in favor of longer fiction. Novels allowed him to develop intricate plots and deeper character development. As a final result, two of his novels are now available on most e-book platforms. Call of the Jeshurun and Sedona in Red were both written many years ago. They lived in his computer's hard drive for so long that he almost forgot about them. One day, he saw a YouTube video about self-publishing and decided to give it a try. Call of the Jeshurun has received all 5-star reviews on Amazon. He didn't advertise, and doesn't devote time to promoting himself. He does what writers are born to do: he writes. He is currently working on another chapter in the Hale and Green Eyes Mystery saga entitled Red Crown Dancer. You can help him by spreading the word and taking the time to write an honest review. His novels sell for less than a Starbucks coffee in exchange for many hours of enjoyable escape
