I work as a freelance technical writer and, in between assignments, take off for weeks or months at a time to try out different travel experiences and write about them. So far I've written books about touring in a campervan (New Zealand by Campervan: the South Island)), coastal sailing the Australian east coast in a small yacht (North on Rocinante, and Second Season), self-booked travel (Rosemary's Travels: Italy, Malta, Hong Kong and China) and travelling Thailand with my son and his Thai wife (Touring Thailand with a Thai). Combining my experience in workplace training and coastal sailing, I've also published Coastal Sailing Discovery Learning Guide to help those who have always dreamed of living on a boat find a way to make it happen. Passing on my expertise as a technical writer, I've published Clarity out of Complexity about how to write effective workplace procedures. There are more travel stories to come: a Trafalgar tour around the UK, a road trip to South Australia camping in a tent, an Intrepid trip to Turkey, a road trip in Portugal. And my next escapade will involve touring Australia in a campervan. Follow me for more adventures! My base is a house in Sydney, where I live with my pet python and a flowing stream of family, friends and fellow travellers.
