Detrás de la puerta' is the story of three brothers, between six and twelve years old, separated in the midst of a war, which will make their lives, from that moment on, irremediably fragmented. Until the outbreak of the conflagration, the three live a happy childhood, oblivious to the events that will break up their family and mark their future. Thirty years later, one of them decides to return to his hometown to find his brothers, of whom he has never heard from again. He needs to understand what happened in those days and thus recover the shared moments that were frozen in his childhood: the games, the bicycle, his father's hugs, the glass of milk, the way to school, the stable, the spoon that was too big and a part of himself. When they meet, his little brother, who has remade his life and completely erased his past, will not want to or will not be able to look back, and his sister, devastated by doubts, will not be able to understand what his true identity is. Detrás de la puerta' explores the fragility of memory and the struggle to recompose a torn identity. A stark poetics with touches of drama, tenderness and humor, it takes us back to a happy childhood in the midst of convulsive times when everything was madness. Everything.
