At the present moment, the Arabic novel has a distinct presence that has made it take the lead in many aspects. One of these aspects is the clear interest in it. At the level of production, we find a real balance in the process of producing it in Egypt and the Arab world, and there is dedication to receiving it in terms of the awards allocated to it, in terms of reading interest in it, in terms of its interaction with the prevailing social moment, and in terms of its ability to provide the process of aesthetic and intellectual satisfaction to the recipient throughout the Arab world. The saying of the time of the novel, although some disagreed with it, was a saying that was strongly present in the minds of many. Hence, stopping at the creative manifestations of this art was one of the necessities embodied in this book. This book was not limited to the novel production of a specific country in our Arab world, but rather it went beyond monitoring features of this production in some Arab countries, including, of course, Egypt, which received a great attention. These novels seemed to interact in particular with the model of the oppressed human being and interact with social reality and whatnot. It emerges from problems that found prominent literary expression in the novel.
