Once Heather's mother went back to New York, she and Mark got busy planning their wedding. After talking to Steve Green and knowing he would take Mark out of the tour circuit for the entire month of June, they chose June 8th for their wedding. They wanted to have as much of the preparations finished before he had to go back on tour at the end of January.

Heather continued to receive strange text messages, and as she prepared to walk down the aisle on her wedding day, an older man about her mother's age appeared and took her arm. In the reception venue, he told her he was Tom Spencer, and while some things he said appeared genuine, Mark was a bit on the cautious side and wanted her to make sure he wasn't a swindler.
