This book may be the most humorous so far due to the third trip detailed in it which just so happened to be Trip 13 in this series ? very appropriate number! The places we took dog vacations to were quite diverse and some were long distances which made for longer journeys. The first stop was New Orleans due to the fun we'd had there for a very short two-night stay on our Christmas trip to Key West which was written up in the second book of this series. We desired to stay longer in The Big Easy, so in March we returned there. Then in June we had a longer road trip with B.B. to visit two places we'd never been ? Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. There were many interesting and exciting things that happened along the way and in the parks themselves. But perhaps the funniest and longest dog vacation was the next one from July into August which was all the way from Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada! The things that happened daily weren't funny at the time, but over the years, we came to consider them quite laughable. That trip is sure to be entertaining to anyone who reads this book, and many people will relate to some of what took place as they may have experienced similar situations on one of their forays to new, unfamiliar places. Kel, B.B., and I return for the last time to Tucson so he can ride solo in the bicycle "race" named El Tour de Tucson. The reader will discover why I didn't ride later when reading about this shorter trip. And finally, the last trek of these five has us driving back to Phoenix, Arizona, to stay in March of 2011 during the time when the professional baseball players are out there in force training for their upcoming season. All of these dog vacations were fun in the end and when we looked back upon them. And it is my hope that the readers will find this book as funny and involving as the others in the first series and this newer second one.
