Somebody on the inside is making deals with criminals. US Marshals agent Martin Eskildsen is determined to find out who. Not just because it's his job, but because they hurt someone close to him.

He finally gets the okay from his boss to go undercover to ferret out the individual. They've arranged for a prisoner transfer, from one location to another, because Martin knows the prisoner will arrange for his own escape, and Martin wants to be there to capture him and his accomplice.

Only problem? He's been assigned to work with fellow US Marshals agent, Emery Carmichael.
