Jackie Boy, a seven-year-old, has the beach to himself for the summer. One day, he notices a tiny crab scurrying past and disappearing into the sand and follows in hot pursuit. The first moments of their meeting were tense, but the two quickly realize they could understand and talk to each other. A friendship forms and Tiny Crab sets about introducing Jackie Boy to a host of sea folk. From that moment, the summer becomes an incredible adventure. He rides on the back of a sailfish with a new friend, a young mermaid. He witnesses crab wars, pirates guarding a treasure, and he fights off a barracuda while riding a large sea turtle, just to name a few.
A family legacy shared. Jackie Boy And The Sea Folk, a sweet tale, written and illustrated in the early 1900s by a loving and talented mother for her children. Almost lost to a hurricane, one little copy remained. Resurrected by Helen's talented grandchildren, a beloved family legacy can now be shared. Give it to your children, your grandchildren, and create another tradition.
