Shalom Shumate is a stay-at-home wife and mother with her husband, and four children, while aspiring to become an author. She has many creative hobbies including her writing, art, singing, and her garden. Writing has always been a part of her, gifted to her probably from her mother, and grandfather. Her goal is shared with Dostoyevsky's enigmatic remark: "Beauty will save the world."

The rest of her spare time is gratefully, and lovingly spent with her family, and hobbies.
