When a reliable Confidential Informant tells the police that an out-of-control rogue cop in the Bronx has put out a contract on a drug dealer, Lieutenant Tynan's boring routine at Internal Affairs comes to a screeching halt. Suddenly, he's no longer marking time waiting to move on from his drafted assignment to Internal Affairs. Despite his cynicism, he knows it's a race against time to stop the contract from taking place.
The case looks simple but deadly and before long Tynan realizes he and his team are treading on some thin ice as they run afoul of his superiors and the Federal prosecutor. He may be out of his league as he fights both the clock and politics. Who can he trust in a world where informants and drug dealers are the only ones on his side? How far, does he want to go to wrap up this case? Is he willing to sacrifice his career to save a drug dealer? More importantly, will he sacrifice a Confidential Informant to make an arrest?
