Magdalena lives in a town bordered by a dangerous forest. People go in and are never seen again. It would be fine if everyone could simply heed the warnings, but the forest calls to some townsfolk, and once they're called, everyone knows it won't be long before they walk among the trees. Lena is probably the only person in town who wants to be called. She needs to know what the secrets are--she needs to know the truth. But the forest never calls to her. If she wants to satisfy her need, she'll have to ignore every warning, every story, and go into the forest on her own.
