When Douglas begins an affair with his stunning yet prim colleague, Nguyet, neither of them suspects how turbulent their liaison will become. Over the years, not only their intimacy and audacity grow, but also their susceptibility to temptation. On their journey of unbridled lust, they also meet others who are equally liable to sin, so that eventually even an orgy circle forms in their sleepy little town in Central Vietnam.
Worn out from the debauchery of recent weeks, in the first episode here, Nguyet and Douglas pretend not to know each other, in order to breathe fresh air and excitement into their erotic relationship. Douglas simply visits Nguyet in her office in a model home at the outskirts of the city, where a deliberate but thoroughly arousing dynamic unfolds, during her lunch break.
Since buying a house requires time, Douglas finds himself back at Nguyet's office, in the next novella. This time, however, events quickly escalate, when the dazzling realtor brings her assets to the fore when showing the house, abandoning pretty much all inhibitions.
In the third story of this 38th volume, Douglas fulfills a long-cherished dream, which had begun during an orgy, at the thermal springs, when Nguyet's colleague Thuy had lounged naked on the edge of the pool, right in front of him.
This volume is also a good introduction to the long series of erotic stories, as all three chamber plays develop on the same stage, at the model home, and only two protagonists interact with each other.
As varied as the episodes are, they all have one theme in common: Ultimately, they tell captivating tales of liberation from rigid, confining moral norms. All chapters are meant to entertain, amuse, and ? in the best case ? stimulate, without slipping into crudity, however. All light-hearted stories are told in a very revealing, tongue-in-cheek manner and, in passing, offer insights into Vietnamese culture. Without taboos, all episodes explore the sources and dynamic of erotic desire and lure the reader under the spell of an exotic world.
The author of this extensive series of erotic stories has been enjoying Southeast Asia for ten years now. After living in Germany and the U.S. for most of his life, Douglas ventured in the opposite direction in 2010: first, he taught at a community college in the South Seas for three years, before settling in Vietnam. Naturally, all novellas reflect his undying love for young Southeast Asian women.
