Melissa had lusted for Cal for years, both of them had interacted as neighbors exchanging social pleasantries at neighborhood parties, bumping into each other while out walking dogs, at school events, and at the local grocery stores. Melissa had always surmised there was something more beneath the cordial surface of their interactions, and it was not just merely as neighborly friends.
