Art Nichols leads a successful life based on his years as a skateboarding superstar but he quit competing nearly a decade ago to focus on his business ventures. Lonely and unhappy, he drifts through his life, making appearances at games but refusing to skateboard in public or private. Then he meets up-and-coming event promoter from the mid-West, Jack Mounir. Jack and Art are attracted to each other, but neither man wants it to be a one-night stand, despite the complications of distance and Art's unwillingness to live as an openly gay man.
