Ella Yolanda Johnson, native of the literary capital of Alabama, is no stranger to what goes on in a small town and her desire to encourage others despite their troubled times is what inspired her to bring this story to life in the Torn Series. After Ella graduated from Monroe County High School (Monroeville, AL), she went on to further her education at the University of Mobile (Mobile, AL), but she didn't stop there. She continued to follow her dreams of becoming a broadcaster by graduating from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting (Orlando, FL). As a mother of 6 adult children and 4 grandchildren, Ella still finds time to help those less fortunate. Since 2015, her non-profit company, Women at Work International, has fed over 500 families in her hometown of Monroeville, Al. Ella's not done yet! Soon, you'll see her in action on her new talk show, The Mahogany Bronze Hour. Ella believes that God blessed her with the ability to write and because of it, her preparation will soon meet its opportunity. When her published work finally make an appearance in plays, on Lifetime, and even on the big screen, Ella will be careful to give all the glory, praise and Honor to God.
