Born in Hartsville, S.C. the author was #5 of 8 children. She moved with her family to Tennessee in 8th grade and met her future husband. After high school they married and raised two very independent, strong willed adults. For 43 years and many adventures with the kids, job as a surgical nurse, and helping care for her mother who had dementia, she still had a love for doodling and sketching. Having a soft spot for cancer patients led to selling her patients and donating a of the proceeds to cancer patients. She was led by God to keep sharing these gifts. Flora began as a doodle during a rest period after a long night of being on call. The relaxing feeling obtained by this led to more and more inspiring scenarios. They were eventually requested to be put into book form by those who fell in love with Flora and her positive outlook. We know how difficult it is to stay positive during these trying times.
