In the modern world, sensors and sensor networks are critical features in developing applications for control and automation in engineering and technology. Areas such as computer-aided diagnosis, swarm robotics, industrial robotics, autonomous vehicles, brain-computer interface (BCI), human-computer interaction (HCI), telemedicine etc. are emerging areas in which sensor input, including computer vision, plays a significant role in implementing, simulating and improving their performance.
