Food habits and behavior of waterbuck (kobus ellipsiprymnus defass) in Dinder National park, Sudan The aim of this study was to determine the botanical composition of the waterbuck (kobus ellipsiprymnus defass) diet in the park and to quantify the time budget of the defass waterbuck during the dry season. Waterbuck (kobus ellipsiprymnus defass) food preferences was grasses followed by Forbes and finally woody plants during the early dry season while in the late dry season the woody plants is the most preferred. Waterbuck (kobus ellipsiprymnus defass) devoted more time for foraging and walking in morning hours and more time for resting in the mid afternoon and more time for walking in evening.
