It's time to share where this book series comes from. In 2009 I volunteered to be head babysitter for my two grandchildren, and have to say it was the best job of my life. We became great friends and I will remain their best of friends till my passing. So, with my work background of 30 plus years in safety and far too many Injury investigations under my belt, my work behaviors and learning were very ingrained into my life. When my grandson fell and hurt his knee and elbow my life stopped along with my heart for a moment. Then a deep feeling of hurt for him and myself changed my direction about Safety, and started us on a new and important Mission. Our mission focuses on Kids and their development of an understanding that pain from unintentional Injury can be prevented. Starting with learning of what actions lead to hurt and pain and how to change those actions so that chances for injury are lessened in their play time.
