Tim Palmer is professor of Film Studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, whose research has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Council of Learned Societies. He is the author of Irreversible (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015), Brutal Intimacy: Analyzing Contemporary French Cinema (Wesleyan University Press, 2011), and co-editor of Directory of World Cinema: France (University of Chicago Press/Intellect, 2013). Tim Palmer is associate professor of film studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and the author ofBrutal Intimacy: Analyzing Contemporary French Cinema. He has also published widely in theFrench Review, Cinema Journal, and Studies in French Cinema, among others.Charlie Michael completed his PhD in cinema studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
